My son is 5 years old and has trusted in Christ for himself. He has not been baptized yet. Can he take communion? He believes. I don't see the problem. | |

CLARIFICATION #3: |

I don't think
your 5 year old is old enough to repent (to turn away from your sins).
Repentance has always come before baptism.
|
|
Acts
2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of
you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost
|
|
Children
are accepted into heaven without doing anything.
|
|
Matthew 18:1
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the
greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of
them, 3 And said, Verily I say unto you,
Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter
into the kingdom of heaven.

Only when
someone became old enough to know right from wrong and knows what
sin is will be held accountable. Feeling
guilty to the point of there conscience
bothering them. Then hearing the word, believing Jesus who died on
the cross was the son of God, repenting of the sins he is feeling guilty
of, confess Jesus Christ is the Son of
God and then being buried with him in baptism.
This is the person who is then consider to have been added to the church.
|
|
Act 2:41 Then
they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the
same day
there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
|
|
Only after
being added to the church, (a disciple) should you break bread, not a
child or a person mentally impaired.
|
|
Acts 20:7 And
upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to
break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow;
and continued his speech until midnight.
