As often as we want ! |

1 Corinthians 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord’s death till he come. | |

Here Christ is referring to the reason we take the Lords supper, (to remember His death) not when. We have Acts 20:7 to find out when we are to take the Lords Supper. I don't understand how most all new testament churches understand when we are suppose to come together, yet they are confused on what we are suppose to do.

Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

A preacher
pointed out something to me the other day. He said "how is it the denominational
world can read 1Corinthians
16:2 Upon
the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. and
then read Acts
20:7 And upon the first day of the
week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto
them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until
midnight. and come to the conclusion
that every week they need to give, but not every week they need to take
the Lords Supper?
