Comments From Others - Can I Fall From Grace, or Once Saved Always Saved?

COMMENT#1:

God makes a covenant with us. God doesn’t break his covenant. There is nothing we can do to loose salvation unless we were never saved to start with.

CLARIFICATION#1:

Sorry for the delay, your comment caught me off guard. I didn’t know how to answer. You see God did make a covenant with us; it’s called the New Testament. This is why I’m having a hard time answering you. Your comment has no substance to it. It’s just a vain remark. In fact the last part of your comment it true. “There is nothing we can do to lose our salvation unless we were never saved to start with.” People who think they cannot lose their salvation were never saved to start with. This is because they obviously have not read the covenant (contract, law or New Testament however you wish to say it)

Matthew 13:22 “He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.”

In this parable whom do you think Jesus is talking about? He’s talking about someone who has received the word and has become fruitful. Obviously they are saved in order to be considered fruitful. They are fruitful because the scripture say’s they became unfruitful. One has to be fruitful in order to become unfruitful. The verse says the cares of the world choke the word. In order to be saved you must be baptized of the spirit. This meant you must be consumed by Gods word. By the word being choked due to the cares of this world, this person is no longer baptized of the spirit. The word is gone from this person’s care.

1 Corinthians 10:12 “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall

“Lest he fall” My question here to you is fall from what?

1 Tim. 4:1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron”

“Shall depart from faith” My question here to you is how can one depart from faith if they where never there?

Heb. 2: 1 “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

“Should let them slip” My question here to you is how can one slip if he can not lose his salvation?

Heb. 3: 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.”

“Take heed brethren” “Departing from the living God” My question here to you is who is the one being warned of getting an evil heart and departing?

ANSWER:“BRETHREN”

Heb. 4: 1 “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short.

“Let us therefore fear” My question here to you is who is “US”?

ANSWER: “Those Saved”

What Are They Warned About?

ANSWER: Coming Short or Not Making It to Heaven.

Heb. 4: 11 “Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

“Let us labor” Again who is “US”? -- ANSWER: Those saved. What are they warned about?

ANSWER: Unbelief. Would one not have to believe before one could unbelief ?

2 Peter 3: 17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness”

“beloved being led away” - You have to be a Christian in obedient, in a saved condition in order to be led away.

This attitude you have will cost you your soul if you don’t read the bible for yourself and stop letting other tell you how to believe.

Thank you for your comments.

FEEDBACK FOR COMMENT: #1

2 Peter 2:20-21 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21) For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

Any response to this?
